Oosha to help mfg Solicitors with IT service desk and security support

Multi-site firm, mfg Solicitors chooses Oosha to manage their user IT queries

Top 200 law firm, mfg Solicitors, has chosen Oosha to provide first and third line managed user support. Oosha will work closely with mfg’s internal IT team to reduce the burden of IT support - offering an extended help desk service and managed security.

As one of the most established solicitors in the country, Lawnet member, mfg has grown to a 6-site firm with locations across the West Midlands. The experience Oosha holds in supporting key legal applications, made it the favoured IT specialist to support mfg’s 250 users.

When mfg reached a crossroads with their IT infrastructure and management strategy, they began looking at alternative specialist providers. Having previously managed IT services in-house, mfg were looking to free-up their internal team to focus on project and development work. With infrastructure approaching end-of-life, mfg were also looking for a legal specialist IT provider - not only to satisfy IT and management needs but also aide them in exploring an infrastructure strategy.

Drawing on Oosha's extensive experience supporting infrastructure in legal firms, the 3rd line support team will be able to provide infrastructure support when needed. The 1st line support team will also be on hand to assist with basic software user queries through to more advanced technical support. Available throughout extended help desk hours, Oosha will also assist with 3rd party application support. This includes SOS (legal practice management software) and Philips SpeechExec (dictation and speech recognition software).

Based on their experience so far, Andrew Davies from mfg said “Our IT team have been able to get back the time they needed to focus on our upcoming projects. The team at Oosha has a high level of knowledge and has helped us to maintain uptime across our network. They have also been quick to resolve our application issues as and when they have cropped up.”
